The Waveshare RS485/Ethernet converter from RS485 to Ethernet enables bidirectional data transfer between RS485 and Ethernet ports, which is configurable over the network.

Features:

• 32-bit Cortex M0 series processor, fast and high-performance;

• the possibility of setting the baud rate from 600B/s to 210KB/s supports 5 options for checking multiplicity: None, Odd, Even, Mark, Space;

• Operating modes: TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP Server, UDP Client, HTTPD Client (supports GET and POST);

• Configured via the network, supports AT commands, serial and network protocols;

• Supports self-created "heartbeat" packets: checks whether the connection to the network is real, or whether the data forwarding sensor is active;

• Supports self-created registration packets: automatic transfer of registration packets as identifiers immediately after connection, thus different devices can be distinguished;

• Supports RFC2217 type protocol: enables communication with devices in which port settings can change (baudrate, data bit, etc.);

• KeepAlive mechanism: detects damaged connections and automatically reconnects;

• Supports timer restart: provides a stable long-term connection, the restart time can be set;

• Supports DNS domain name resolution;

• Supports DHCP; It is possible to update the firmware via the network;
