To organize the connection of WDM technology, a pair of optical modules is used, which are installed at different ends of the communication line. For example, the SFP-xx-1310xx-SC module uses a wavelength of 1550 nm for data reception and 1310 nm for data transmission, i.e. 1310TX/1550RX. And the SFP-xx-1550xx-SC module uses a wavelength of 1310 nm for data reception and 1550 nm for data transmission, i.e. 1550TX/1310RX.
The Step4Net SFPd-03-1310-WDM-SC and Step4Net SFPd-03-1310-WDM-SC SFP transceivers support operation with 9/125 μm single-mode optical cable and provide data transmission at a distance of 3 km. The transceivers are equipped with 1 optical port with an SC connector and allow hot swapping and installation.
