Smoke detectors respond to combustion products that can affect the absorption or scattering capacity of radiation in the infrared, ultraviolet or visible spectrum. Smoke detectors can be point, linear, aspirating and autonomous. The most common type of detector.

The detector is designed to detect fires in closed premises of buildings and structures and reacts to the appearance of smoke of low concentration, indication of this condition and transmission of the FIRE signal to the control panel.

The detector is designed for continuous, round-the-clock operation in conjunction with a PPC with a two-wire or four-wire SHS.

The detector is connected to the PPK with a two-wire SHS using the B01, B1 bases. The detector is connected to the PPK with a four-wire SHS using bases B2, B3, B4, B5. Bases B6, B7, B8, B9 are final, installed one at the end of each loop and are used in four-wire SHS to control the presence of supply voltage and the integrity of the circuit.

The detector has the functions of indicating the next mode of operation and checking the operability.

Loop matching modules

• Bases B1 - B9 are designed for connecting the SPD3.10 (IPD-3.10) fire detector to different types of fire alarm loops - two-wire with and without a fire alarm system, four-wire with normally closed and normally open relay contacts.

• The detector is connected to the PPK with a two-wire alarm loop using the B01, B1 bases. The detector is connected to the PPC with a four-wire alarm loop using bases B2, B3, B4, B5.

• Bases B6, B7, B8, B9 are terminal, installed one at the end of each loop and are used in four-wire SHS to monitor the presence of supply voltage and circuit integrity.
