The Ajax ReX 2 (8EU) white repeater is for increasing the communication range of Ajax security system devices, supports sensors with photo verification. Communication range with sensors is up to 1700 m. Compatible with Hub 2 (2G), Hub 2 (4G), Hub 2 Plus, Hub Hybrid (2G), Hub Hybrid (4G) centers. A maximum of 5 repeaters can be connected to the security system.

Application

ReX 2 increases the range of sensors and other equipment of Ajax security systems. The repeater controls all alarm devices even at a considerable distance from the hub: in a multi-story office, in buildings that stand alone, or in a large production facility. By connecting 5 repeaters to the security system, you can expand the coverage of its radio network to 35 km².

Features

• Increases the range of Ajax security system devices and combines sensors into an autonomous group within the system. If for some reason radio communication with the hub is lost, ReX 2 will take over.

• Works under OS Malevich. Communication between the repeater and sensors with a range of up to 1700 m in open space. With OS Malevich 2.13, Ethernet connectivity is available.

• Supports Jeweler protocols for command, event and alarm transmission and features two-way device-to-device communication, block encryption, and Wings for batch transmission of alarm photo verification images from connected MotionCam sensors within 9 seconds. This function helps to eliminate false alarms and unnecessary trips of security patrols.

• Maximum connected devices (in a system with one repeater): Hub 2 (2G) / (4G) – up to 99, Hub 2 Plus – up to 199, Hub Hybrid (2G) / (4G) – up to 99.

• It is possible to connect 5 repeaters to the central system.

• Anti-sabotage functions: authentication to prevent switching of devices in the system, notification of jamming and encryption of communication, tamper on the case against device hacking.

• Configuration, management is done through a free mobile application from Ajax (iOS and Android).

• Power supply 110−240 V from the mains or 12 V from 12V PSU for Hub 2/ReX 2, 6 V from 6V PSU for Hub 2/Hub 2 Plus/ReX 2. The repeater has a built-in Li-Ion backup battery 2 Ah, which provides up to 38 hours of battery life.

Installation and configuration features

• The repeater is connected only directly to the hub (headquarters). The ReX 2 cannot be connected to another ReX 2 repeater.

• Installing Ajax ReX 2 does not require special knowledge. The repeater is connected to the system and configured using a mobile application, after which the device is mounted on the included SmartBracket.
