The Octopus ++ water leakage sensor (flooding sensor) is made in a plastic sealed case with wire terminals. A cap is put on top of the terminals, which protects against mechanical damage and aesthetically hides the wires. At the bottom, two metal pins protrude, which fix the presence of water.

The water leakage sensor is used both in security systems for the integrated security of property, and in automatic emergency shutdown systems for water supply, at facilities such as boiler rooms, boiler rooms, as well as in warehouses, country houses, cottages, and bathrooms.

During installation, the Octopus ++ sensor is installed using double-sided adhesive tape or self-tapping screws in places of a possible emergency from flooding of the protected premises so that the flood level pins are at a certain distance (approximately 1 mm) from the floor plane.

Attention! It is necessary to limit the current passing through the sensor at a level not exceeding 10 mA. It is also necessary to observe the polarity of switching on, since if the detector is connected incorrectly (reversed), it will not work !! Correct connection to the security control panel (GSM controller loop) is achieved using a relay module with a low response current (about 10 mA). The sensor is connected in series with the relay winding to a 12V power source, and the normally closed relay contacts are connected to a security loop.

The Octopus++ flood sensor is included in the list of equipment recommended by the GSO for burglar alarm systems.

To connect the flood sensor to the security control panel, it is recommended to use the PC-1-12V board. The maximum number of Octopus sensors that can be simultaneously connected to the PC-1-12V board is 5 pcs.
