Thermal fire sensor IPK-9-Ex (ИПК-9-Ех) thermal maximum explosion-proof, 2-wire connection, power supply voltage (10-30), designed to detect ignition sources, accompanied by an increase in ambient temperature. Maximum detectors should preferably be installed in rooms where neither smoke detectors (dustiness) nor thermal differential detectors (temperature fluctuations at a rate of more than 5-7 °C/min) can be used.

Fire sensor "ИПК-9-Ex" TU U 31.6–22847240–006:2010 (hereinafter referred to as the detector) with explosion protection level "ib" - an intrinsically safe electric circuit, according to GOST 22782.5, has explosion protection marking 1Ex and is intended for detecting fires in closed premises of buildings and structures accompanied by the release of heat.

The area of application of the detectors is explosive zones of classes 1 or 2 of premises and external installations of enterprises, where explosive mixtures of combustible gases with air may be formed, belonging to categories IIA, IIB and temperature groups T1 - T5 in accordance with ch. 4 of PUE (NPAOP 40.1-32 -01 "Rules for the arrangement of electrical installations. Electrical equipment of special installations") and other normative acts on labor protection and industrial safety, which regulate the use of electrical equipment in explosive zones.

The sensor is intended for round-the-clock continuous operation in closed rooms of land-based stationary objects in fire alarm systems with reception and control devices "Varta-1" TU 3 of Ukraine 7183.012-92 and "Varta-Adres" TU U 31.6-22845200. The detector is installed in the VSHS, only with the spark protection barrier "BİZ" on which the marking of explosion protection ExібІІВ X must be made.

The sensor has an LED for visual control of performance and alarm status signaling. During normal operation in duty mode, the LED blinks at a frequency of about 1 Hz, and when the detector is activated, it lights up constantly, which provides an indication of a local fire alarm.
