A magnetic or electromagnetic lock is a device for closing doors, the principle of operation of which is based on magnetic interaction. It consists of a case with an electromagnet and a back bar made of metal with high magnetic permeability.

The electromagnetic lock is installed on the door frame, the reverse bar - on the door. When power is supplied (DC12V/DC24V) – the lock magnetizes the corresponding bar, securely closing the door. In the absence of power, the lock unlocks, which meets fire safety requirements.

To compensate for the impact when closing the door, a rubber gasket is provided on the back bar.

INSTALLATION OF THE ELECTROMAGNETIC LOCK

BACK BAR

- Paste the stencil in the place of installation of the back part on the door;

- From the outer part of the door, drill a hole d=16mm (according to the instructions, but not all the way!), and two shallow holes d=8mm on the inside of the door for fixing the back bar;

- Fix the relevant part by installing a bolt with a semi-circular smooth head on the outside of the door. Put a rubber gasket on the inside and install the corresponding part on it. Lock the nut with a hex key

IMPORTANTLY! Do not overtighten the nut of the reverse bar - it should spring a little thanks to the rubber gasket, to ensure tighter contact between the reverse bar and the magnet.

LOCK FIXING BAR

Fasten the mounting bar of the electromagnetic lock in the upper corner of the box using the self-tapping screws from the kit.

ELECTROMAGNETIC LOCK

Attach the electromagnetic lock to the mounting bar and tighten the two screws (at the bottom of the lock) using a small hex key.

POWER CONNECTION

Connect the electromagnetic lock to the power supply:

- (+) to the red wire;

- (-) to black
