RYOBI® door closer series 1500 model D-1554 STD (Japan) surface-mounted type – designed to control exterior and interior doors. Fully controls the entire door closing cycle with separately adjustable speeds of initial and final closing (slam). The housing is made using high-pressure aluminum casting technology.

Decorative plastic cover included.

The class of the closer is adjusted by moving the closer along the door leaf, see the installation template included with the closer.

The standard (universal) pull, the so-called "knee", provides two options for installing the closer on the door.

1. From the door opening side: the closer body is installed on the door leaf, the pull - on the door frame.

2. From the door closing side: the closer body is installed on the door frame, the pull on the leaf.

N.B.

When installing on the door frame from the closing side, in order to avoid the screw securing the rod to the closer body from loosening and, as a result, damage to the rod itself, it is necessary to use a grover (included in the delivery set) and, it is recommended, a thread lock.

When installing on doors located outdoors, the closer must be under a canopy to avoid moisture ingress (the closer rod is made of steel).

When adjusting the speed valves (available on all models) of the closers, as well as the opening and closing brake valves (on those models where they are available), carefully monitor the degree of unscrewing (counterclockwise). The valve must not be unscrewed more than the plane of the closer body.

Otherwise, fluid (oil) may leak from the tensioner during operation and, as a result, the tensioner may become air-tight. This cannot be considered a warranty case.
