The Crosver FOB-04-16D optical box is designed for use in fiber-optic networks with deep penetration of optics (FTTH, PON, etc.). It can be used as a distribution node of an optical network and allows you to connect up to 16 PON subscribers. A distinctive feature of the FOB-04-16D box is the presence of brackets for installing modular optical splitters of the Coupler PLC-1×8-3-SC/UPC and Coupler PLC-1×16-3-SC/UPC types. The use of such splitters with built-in optical connectors allows you to reduce the amount of installation work and reduce the time spent on connecting subscribers. The box allows you to splice up to 24 optical fibers. It is allowed to insert two linear optical cables and up to 16 subscriber taps.

The box is a durable plastic case with cable and optical splitter fixing elements located inside. The plastic of the case is stabilized against ultraviolet radiation and temperature fluctuations. The rubber sealing gasket of the housing and the sealing sleeves of the cable entries protect the box from dust and water splashes, which allows it to be operated in an open space. The box cannot be completely immersed in water during operation. The design of the box mounts allows it to be placed both on poles and on walls or other surfaces.

Inside the box there is a folding mounting panel, on which brackets are placed for installing modular optical splitters (you can install two 1x8 splitters or one 1x16 splitter). On the other side of the panel there are places for fixing protective sleeves of welded joints. This design made it possible to provide excellent functional and ergonomic qualities with small dimensions of the box. The size of the subscriber entries allows you to insert patch cords with installed connectors into the box.

A special screw for fixing the box cover limits access to unauthorized persons.
