The Ajax FireProtect black (8EU) UA wireless smoke detector is designed to detect a fire in a protected room. The detector detects smoke using an infrared emitter and a photodetector. The elements are mounted in a special chimney. When smoke particles enter the chamber, the photodetector detects distortion of the infrared beam. If there is a lot of smoke, the beam distortion becomes strong, the detector sends wireless fire alarm signals to the Ajax Hub smart control panel and the siren turns on.
