The Ultracell UCG150-12 SOLAR SERIES gel battery is manufactured using Ultracell (GEL) technology - this is a type of battery in which the liquid electrolyte is brought to a gel-like state by adding silicon compounds to it. In such batteries, the electrolyte does not leak in the event of a shock and minor damage to the case. Thanks to the viscous state, recombination of gases occurs: water breaks up into hydrogen and oxygen as a result of a chemical reaction; hydrogen and oxygen ions remain in the closed space of the battery, combine and form water again; water is absorbed by the gel and the original volume of the electrolyte is restored. As a result, we get a battery that is not maintained, because the water in it practically does not evaporate.

The Ultracell UCG150-12 battery from the GEL series (UCG battery series) is ideal for uninterruptible power supplies and load-cycling systems.
