The Ajax DoorProtect black wireless sensor is designed to detect the opening of doors, windows, etc. The sensor is equipped with a terminal block for connecting additional wired sensors, including wired opening sensors designed for installation on metal gates and hatches.

Structurally, the sensor consists of two parts - a magnet and a block with a reed switch. There are two options for the magnet - for parallel (large magnet) and perpendicular (small magnet) installation. The principle of operation of the opening sensor is based on the properties of a reed switch - an element capable of becoming a conductor under the influence of a magnetic field. In the normal state, the magnet and the block with the reed switch are closed. As soon as the door on which the sensor is installed opens, the magnet moves away from the reed switch, the contacts open and the reed switch stops conducting current. When the door is closed, the reverse processes occur: the magnet approaches the reed switch, the contacts close and the reed switch begins to conduct current. In both cases, the sensor is triggered and instantly sends an alarm message to the central unit. An English reed switch is installed in the sensor, which does not stick and works out more than a million closings / openings.

The sensor is equipped with an efficient wireless radio communication system that uses message encryption and anti-forgery protection. This provides excellent security of the alarm against hacking attempts by intruders. In addition, the sensor has a state-of-the-art highly reliable communication system, allowing it to successfully operate within several floors of a business center or up to 2000 m in open areas from the central alarm unit.

The sensor is fully compatible with all wired control panels using the Ajax ocBridge Plus radio sensor receiver, as well as with the Lun control panel version 11 mod.3 and mod. 4 and PPK "Lun-19" through the interface receiver Ajax uartBridge. Now it is possible to connect up to 45 second-generation Ajax wireless devices. In order to support the Ajax line, for previously purchased Lun control panels version 11 mod.2, you need to update the control panel firmware to version 57 and higher, the Lind keyboard to version 36 and higher.
