Biometric readers of physical characteristics of a person - fingerprints, retina, face recognition, and access control and time recording systems built using them are a promising direction in access control and restriction systems (ACC) and are used, as a rule, in those places where it is especially important to identify which passes with maximum accuracy. Biometric readers and access systems built with their help are, as a rule, "slower" than those using identifiers based on access cards, this is desirable to understand and take into account when building an ACS. It is also worth noting the growing popularity of biometrics, related to the parameters of biometric readers, which are improving year by year, and their cost is decreasing.
