Hybrid inverters: autonomy and savings for your home
A hybrid inverter is a multifunctional device that combines the capabilities of a standalone inverter (powered by a battery), a solar inverter, and a powerful mains charger. Unlike conventional UPSs, hybrid models can not only switch to batteries, but also intelligently manage energy flows between the network, solar panels, batteries, and the consumer.
How does a hybrid inverter work?
The main advantage of the "hybrid" is the ability to operate in several modes simultaneously:
Mains mode: Powers the house from the mains and charges the batteries.
Autonomy mode (UPS): When the mains voltage disappears, it instantly (in 10–20 ms) switches power to the battery.
Blending mode (Smart/Grid-tie): Uses energy from the sun first, and if it is not enough, takes the rest from the network or battery, without breaking contact with the external line.
Selling to the grid: If your solar panels produce more than you consume, the inverter can feed the excess into the grid at a “green tariff”.
What brands are represented in our range?
We have selected equipment that covers tasks from budget reserves to professional power systems:
Victron Energy (Netherlands): The benchmark for reliability. The MultiPlus and Quattro series withstand huge starting loads and have the world's best remote monitoring system.
Deye: The most popular hybrid inverters in Ukraine. They have a separate port for the generator and can flexibly work with any type of lithium batteries.
Dyness, Megarevo and MUST: Powerful solutions for solar stations that combine high efficiency of MPPT controllers and an affordable price.
What to pay attention to when choosing?
Before buying a hybrid inverter, determine three key parameters:
Rated power: The sum of the power of the appliances that must operate simultaneously (refrigerator, pump, lights, internet). For an average home, this is usually 5 kW.
Battery voltage: 48-52V systems are the most efficient, as they have lower heat losses and allow for larger battery capacities.
Availability of the PowerAssist function: Relevant for Victron Energy - allows the inverter to "add" power from the batteries to your weak input network.
Why should you order from us?
